As a community pharmacy, we advocate public health initiatives through our vaccination program. Here's the list of vaccines that we give.
Annual Flu Shot- Protect yourself against flu. Flu vaccines are expertly designed to safeguard you from influenza. The influenza virus mutates yearly, so getting your flu shot annually is crucial to staying ahead of the latest strains.
COVID-19 Vaccines - Vaccination is the best way to protect against COVID-19, which is a serious and sometimes fatal disease. The vaccines provide strong protection against severe COVID-19 illness, including hospitalization and death. The COVID-19 mRNA vaccines provide better protection than other COVID-19 vaccines. When you or your child get vaccinated, you help protect others as well, including those who cannot get the vaccine.
Publicly-funded Vaccines- Publicly funded vaccines are part of the immunization program aimed at protecting public health. These vaccines are provided at no cost to eligible residents of BC and include those for preventable diseases such as measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis, and more.
Shingrix- A vaccine that prevents shingles (herpes zoster) in adults. It's given as a two-dose series, with the second dose administered 2 to 6 months after the first.
Who can get Shingrix?
1. Adults 50 years and older
2. Adults 19 years and older with weakened immune systems
